University Student Design Challenge

STEMEngineering

NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has been researching and developing innovative technologies in both aeronautics and space flight since 1941. To encourage undergraduate student involvement in NASA’s efforts, GRC is hosting its third-year, two-option, aeronautics and space themed University Student Design Challenge (USDC–3) during the 2018-2019 academic year. Participating students are encouraged to apply out-of-the-box approaches to either - (a) Conceptually develop an electric regional jet that is capable of using existing 3000 foot runways at both regional and hub airports, or (b) Apply bio-inspired considerations to enable human habitation of Venus.
